Coming out at work
The be.queer employee network won the "Big Impact Initiative Award" of the Prout at Work Foundation on 17 October 2019. The recently published videos on the topic of ‘Coming Out at Work’ convinced the jury with their creative design and their examination of the topic. The videos were published to celebrate the International Coming Out Day on Friday 11 October. They were produced as an interdisciplinary project by 13 trainees of Mediengruppe RTL Deutschland, UFA and Super RTL.
RTL Group has been selected for inclusion in the Ethibel Excellence Investment Register since 4 September 2019. Forum Ethibel is a Belgian non-profit organisation with over 20 years’ experience in the field of ratings, independent audits and certification of financial products and services that meet specific requirements in terms of ethics and sustainability. This selection by Forum Ethibel indicates that RTL Group performs better than average in its sector in terms of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

Compliance with laws, internal regulations and contractual obligations is a precondition for operating in a legally “safe” business environment, built on mutually trusting relationships with all stakeholders.
Our compliance objectives are aligned with RTL Group’s values and business objectives: there is an ethics case in compliance since the Group is perceived on the adherence to its values, which requires compliance at all levels. There is also a clear business case since non-compliance can have an impact on RTL Group's reputation, impede its ability to achieve strategic objectives and therewith economic success. Finally, there is a legal case since demonstrating the existence of a sound compliance programme can prevent management and employees from legal liability.
